San Miguel de Allende, en el estado de Guanajuato, es Patrimonio Mundial de la UNESCO y ha sido nombrada varias veces la mejor ciudad del mundo por los lectores de Travel + Leisure. Se camina entera, y desde el centro tienes absolutamente todo a minutos.
Fundada en el siglo XVI, la ciudad conserva su traza colonial intacta: calles empedradas, fachadas de cantera y una vida cultural que no se detiene en todo el año. Su clima templado la hace disfrutable en cualquier temporada y su escala humana la vuelve ideal para recorrerla a pie, sin necesidad de coche.

De cafés de especialidad y desayunos de mercado a cocina de autor con reconocimiento internacional. Desde cualquiera de nuestras casonas, los mejores lugares están a menos de diez minutos caminando.
La respuesta corta: a pie. El Centro Histórico es compacto y hospedarte dentro de él significa no usar el coche una sola vez. Los aeropuertos de Querétaro (AIQ, 1 h) y del Bajío (BJX, 1 h 30) son las puertas de entrada más cómodas.
La ciudad vale la pena todo el año: primavera por las jacarandas, septiembre por las fiestas patrias y la Alborada, e invierno por su cielo despejado.
Para vivir San Miguel de verdad, duerme dentro del Centro Histórico.
